These pilot pins are used to replace worn or damaged pilot pins on annular cutters. The pins keep the cutters centered and aligned during drilling and allow coolant to flow to the cutters' tip during drilling. They also allow the slug to be ejected from the cutter after drilling and are sometimes called ejector pins.
